- DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police have unearthed a
fraudulent investment company operating under the name “Guras Marketing”,
located at Khaku's Building 'B' Block, behind the Plaza Traffic Police Booth in
Dimapur.
- According to a police statement issued on Monday, the
company has been implicated in luring investors with promises of high returns
through unregulated schemes.
- A suo motu case has been registered against Guras Marketing
under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act 2023 for
cheating and criminal breach of trust, it informed.
- “A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted,
and investigation is currently ongoing. In this regard, investors are cautioned
to immediately cease all financial dealings with Guras Marketing to avert any
potential losses.
- “Individuals who have invested with the company/victims of
their fraudulent activities are requested to report their complaints to West
Police Station, Dimapur, at the earliest,” it stated.
- Dimapur Police reiterated its appeal to the public to
exercise caution and remain vigilant when considering investment schemes
promising unusually high returns and to verify their legitimacy before
investing.
- It requested the
public to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting any information vital for
ensuring justice and preventing further financial frauds. For any query or
