Dimapur Police arrests Amit Khan in connection with the seizure of eight soap cases containing suspected narcotic substances.

DIMAPUR — Dimapur Police has arrested another accused person in connection with the seizure of eight soap cases containing suspected narcotic substances on February 9.
An update from Dimapur Police on Wednesday stated that the accused has been identified as Amit Khan (24 years) of Urub village under Imphal East district. He is presently a resident of Medical Colony near Old NST Station, Dimapur.

It may be mentioned that Dimapur Police had on February 9 arrested two persons from Assam after sustained efforts in connection with the same case.
The two arrested persons have been identified as Johurul Islam (31 years), a resident of Chaishimana village under Barpeta district in Assam, and Saiful Islam (30 years), a resident of Bidyapur Chirang village under Bogaingoan district in Assam.
It stated that a case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the investigation is underway.
