- DIMAPUR — Four individuals, linked to the NSCN
(Nikki), were arrested by Dimapur Police in connection with the abduction of
two men, Imran Hussain and Jahirul Islam, who were kidnapped on the night of
March 23.
- An update from the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, said
that on March 23, at around 01:30 am, two individuals, along with a vehicle
(registration number AS01BC/6016, an Eicher truck) loaded with ginger, were
proceeding towards Assam from Manipur.

- They were abducted from Pherima, near Raju Dabu Hotel, and
fled towards Dimapur. The whereabouts of the individuals and the vehicle were
unknown.
- Later, the miscreants demanded an amount of INR 8-10 lakhs
for the release of the two abducted individuals and the vehicle, threatening to
kill them if the payment was not made.
- Dimapur Police swung into action and arrested four
individuals in connection with the abduction: Kiyeto Achumi, aged 58, SS Leacy
NSCN (Nikki) from Tichipami, Zunheboto, and resident of Purana Bazar
"B", Dimapur; Aluvi Chophy, aged 43, SS Rajapeyu NSCN (Nikki) from
Tichipami, Zunheboto, and resident of Purana Bazar "B", Dimapur;
Hushika Kiba, aged 30, SS Leacy NSCN (Nikki) from Zhekishi, Niuland, and
resident of Purana Bazar "B", Sukhato Colony, Dimapur; and Emugha
Achumi, aged 27, SS Segt. Major NSCN (Nikki) from Awotsakili, Atoizu,
Zunheboto, and resident of Ekranipathar, Dimapur.
