Three Dimapur organisations urge Nagaland government to begin construction of the long-pending bypass road before project funds lapse
DIMAPUR — Three Dimapur-based organisations have urged Nagaland government to immediately commence construction of the long-pending bypass road connecting New Field Check Gate, near Amar Flour Mill, with Bible House, near the New Dhansari Bridge at Walford.
A press release informed that Naga Council Dimapur (NCD), Dimapur Urban Colony Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) and GB Union Dimapur Sadar made the appeal during a meeting with the deputy commissioner and revenue officer of Dimapur district on Thursday.
According to the organisations, the proposed road will begin at the check gate, cross the railway track and pass through Veterinary colony in Burma Camp before reaching Bible House near the New Dhansari Bridge.
Citing government records, they stated that the entire stretch of land along the surveyed alignment had already been compensated. They maintained that there should therefore be no land-related disputes or encroachment issues when construction begins.

The organisations urged the Directorate of Land Records and Survey, Dimapur, to publicly release the official details of the surveyed and demarcated alignment, including the measurements and locations of boundary pillars.
They contended that the information was necessary to facilitate immediate commencement of the project and ensure its completion before the sanctioned funds lapse.
They also assured the district administration of their cooperation in resolving any issues that may arise during the execution of the work.
