
DIMAPUR — In Dimapur, International Day of Yoga celebration, organised by Integrated Ayush Hospital (IAH) Dimapur in collaboration with Regional Ayurveda Research Centre (RARC) Dimapur, was held in the conference hall of District Hospital Dimapur (DHD).
Dr. Tiakaba Jamir, medical officer of DHD, who spoke on the theme ‘Yoga for self and society,’ stressed on the importance of yoga in daily life and requested the gathering to practice regularly to obtain the optimum benefits of yoga, an update stated.

Several yoga protocols and exercises for upper and lower respiratory tracts, lower back ache, right postural for pregnant women, gastrointestinal tract and various relaxation posture etc. were demonstrated and executed by Dr. Sentila Aier and Tiatemsu Ao, yoga instructor.
Earlier, the programme chaired by Dr. Rüüsietuonuo, medical officer of IAH, commenced with an invocation by Dr. Sendongyanger, MO.
Dr. Vilas Gangurde, RARC thanked all the programme participants and well wishers for the success of the event.
The event was attended by staff of Integrated Ayush Hospital, Dimapur, medical officers under NHM/NAM, officer in-charge and staff from Regional Ayurveda Research Centre and supporting staff of District Hospital Dimapur, A total of 37 participants took part in the event.
