Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) in collaboration with the district administration will organise the 7th edition of Dimapur night carnival from December 11.
This was announced during a joint meeting of DCCI and EDBA at Hotel Four Season. According to the organisers, 250 stalls would be allotted to entrepreneurs, mostly Naga youth. DCCI and EDBA members informed that like the 2018 edition, this year too, the stalls would be environmental friendly canopy system, and for the first time, the carnival would be a ‘plastic-free zone.’
The night carnival will be organised with twin objectives ‘festivity’ and ‘opportunity.’ It will provide an opportunity to the youth and elderly alike to relax, enjoy as well as to interact with people from different parts of the world.
The carnival also aims to provide a platform for new and upcoming local entrepreneurs to showcase their wares and products to boost local economy.
Conceptualized in 2013 as a local extravaganza, the carnival has grown in size every year.
Interested entrepreneurs and youth who want to book stalls for the night carnival can collect the forms at Shivam Bakery, Dhobinalla; World of Titan, Church Road; Metro, Circular Road; MRF, Duncan Bosti; Popular Bakery, Purana Bazar; Shivam Bakery in Darogapather and Bajaj Showroom in Chumukedima.
