Dimapur, Dec. 18: The grand finale of five-day Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC) on Sunday night witnessed highest turnout with thousands of people from all walks of life thronged the Naga Shopping Arcade to get a treat from various stall at their disposition.
Advisor of Urban Development and chief guest of the finale programme, SI Jamir, insisted that ‘man as a social animal who needs to come together and socialise.’ He called upon Dimapurians to come together and unite for a progressive Dimapur.
Lauding the organisers for the pain and time in putting up such recreation activity, Jamir persuaded Dimapurians to work together for a fascinating and colourful carnival next year.

Naga Shopping Arcade-on Sunday- was soothing to the eyes as people irrespective of religion and culture entertained each other in their respective stalls. The Dimapur Night Carnival 2016 had more than 300 stalls run by various communities. All through the five day affairs, people continued to pour in making the 2016 carnival unforgettable.
Young and old alike were seen excitedly engaged in the stalls put up across the Naga Shopping Arcade road. From local -Indian – continental- exotic- fast food including local made drinks, the affair was a treat for those engaged with the Dimapur Night Carnival 2016.
On the grand finale night, the chief guest SI Jamir declared the Bumper Prize Raffle Draw winner. The winner of lucky number bore 002349.

The organising committee also declared the three winners of best stalls. The first prize winner was bagged by Temshilong Sanglir- stall no 46 (C) a thatch house, while the second prize was bagged by Inner Wheel Club Dimapur- Stall no 30, 31, 32 (A) and the third prize was bagged by Atsen Murry-stall no 45(E) a fun booth. The winners were awarded with cash prize of Rs. 15,000, Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 5000 respectively along with citation.
The concluding day of the Dimapur Night Carnival also witnessed Pipers Band retreat by Nagaland Police Training School.

It may be noted that Dimapur Night Carnival 2016 was jointly organised by the district administration, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Business Association of Nagas (BAN) and East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA).
