Dimapur, Dec. 11 (EMN): The 7th edition of the
Dimapur Night Carnival commenced on Dec. 11 in the city. The event is organised
by the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the East Dimapur
Business Association (EDBA) in collaboration with the Dimapur district
administration. The event will conclude on December 15.
Speaking during the occasion as its special guest, the advisor for Industries and Commerce and Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation Limited, Imnatiba Jamir, said ‘with peace comes development.’
Jamir said genuine entrepreneurs should be given bank loans. He asked the deputy commissioner to monitor applicants for government schemes to avail benefits without affecting genuine selected entrepreneurs.
The deputy commissioner of Dimapur Anoop khinchi said the welcome address. He called the carnival a good opportunity for young entrepreneurs to showcase their products and innovation. The event also gives platform to young talented musicians to perform, he said.
According to Khinchi, two stalls from the government’s side will be available and will highlight government schemes which are available for citizens.
