Dimapur, Meghalaya take AutoX and Moastü Sprint

Moatsü Sprint was flagged off by N Bendang Jamir, president of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party for Mokokchung region earlier on Friday morning. As reported earlier the final results were based on scores of two formats namely the AutoX and Moatsu Sprint in their respective category. The competitors' timing in both the formats was tabulated and declared during a prize distribution ceremony at The Woods, a resort in Yimchalu Friday evening. During Friday’s race Denis Assumi from Team DMSC of Dimapur emerged the champion in the SUV category. He finished both the events at 4:48.84 minutes. Assumi was followed by Sandeep Sharma from Team Maruti Motorsports of Delhi at 5:10.19 minutes and Imtisanen from Team SMI of Mokokchung at 5:15.42 minutes. In the above-1300 CC, Ewellson Lyngdoh from Team MSAM of Meghalaya finished both the formats in 4:08.28 minutes to take the first place, followed by Bento Swu from team DMSC of Dimapur in 4:39.84 minutes, and Sandeep Sharma from Team Maruti Motorsports of Delhi in 4:44.34 minutes in that order. In below-1300 CC, V Yeshika Yepthomi from team DMSC of Dimapur completed the run in 4:41.97 minutes while Alem I Jamir from Team Amam completed it in 4:46.40 minutes; Obeth Shitio from Team Amam completed it in 4:54.78 minutes. AutoX and Moatsu Sprint saw 65 professional motor racers from Delhi, Kolkata, Assam, and Meghalaya besides motorsports associations from across Nagaland.
