DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Masters Table Tennis Association (DMTTA) successfully hosted its first-ever inaugural ‘Dimapur Masters table Tennis Championship’ at Multi-purpose Stadium, located near DC Court Junction, on August 25.
The tournament, catering exclusively to players aged 40 and above, witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 30 seasoned players.
In the Men’s singles final, Visasier Kevichusa clinched the championship title after defeating L David in the final match, while in the Women’s singles category, Maryshelli Zhimo clinched the title by defeating Lichumo Lotha.

In the Men’s doubles event, Hito A Sumi and Thungdemo Ezung defeated Visasier Kevichusa and Among Longkumer to lift the Men’s double trophy.
The tournament marked a significant milestone for veteran players in the region with the "Masters" category highlighting the competitive spirit and enduring passion of players aged 40 years and above. The event not only promoted sportsmanship but also reinforced the importance of active lifestyles among older athletes.
