Dimapur district administration has launched an intensive MY Bharat registration drive, urging schools and colleges to maximise youth enrolment.

DIMAPUR — The District Administration, Dimapur, convened an orientation meeting on July 15 for the ongoing intensive registration and awareness drive for the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Portal, with the objective of ensuring maximum youth enrolment across schools and colleges before the campaign concludes on August 15.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, said that youth are the driving force of development and described the MY Bharat platform as an important bridge connecting young people with opportunities offered by the Government of India.
He urged heads of educational institutions to accord top priority to the registration drive and ensure that all eligible students benefit from the programmes available through the portal.
Emphasising that the success of the campaign depends on the collective efforts of the district administration and educational institutions, Dr. Chang encouraged schools and colleges to actively motivate students to register and take advantage of opportunities aimed at enhancing their skills, employability, leadership, and overall development.

District Youth Officer K Manikanta delivered a presentation on the objectives, features, and benefits of the MY Bharat Portal.
He said the platform enables youth aged 15 to 29 years to create digital profiles, access mentorship opportunities, participate in experiential learning programmes, develop leadership and professional skills, and engage in volunteer initiatives related to disaster management, community service, health, and social awareness.
The meeting was attended by Extra Assistant Commissioner Imlijungla, the district employment officer, the district education officer, principals of colleges, heads of educational institutions, and other district officials.
During the meeting, educational institutions were advised to establish dedicated registration cells, appoint institutional nodal officers, and mobilise campus organisations such as the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) to maximise student enrolment before the August 15 deadline.
