- DIMAPUR — The GB
Union Dimapur (Sadar) has appealed to the deputy commissioner of Dimapur to
consider facilitating an offline system to apply for Inner Line Permit (ILP).
- In an application addressed to the DC, the GB union
highlighted concerns regarding the accessibility of the current online-only ILP
application process.
- While expressing full support for the government's decision
to enforce ILP across Nagaland, including Dimapur district, the union cited the
practical difficulties faced by a significant portion of the non-indigenous
population residing in the district.
- They contended that due to illiteracy and lack of
familiarity with smartphone-based apps, many residents would struggle with the
online system.

- “The implementation of ILP may be vastly hindered if it is
only carried out through online system. And also provide considerable period of
time to complete the ILP documentation process.
- “Therefore, for the convenience of the common public and the
success of the ILP implementation in Dimapur, your authority is requested to
look into the subject matter for redressal,” it stated.
