Dimapur: Four arrested for attempting to hijack a car

Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): Dimapur police arrested four persons on charges of attempting to hijack one SUV car near New Medziphema area along the National Highway-29 on January 8.

According to a police report issued by an additional commissioner of police and PRO, the four persons have been identified as KS Yaoreingam (45) from Ukhrul district in Manipur, Hovishe Yeptho (40) from Zunheboto district, Sashimatsung (41) from Mokokchung district, and Kohringtha (19) from Chandel district in Manipur. According to the report, the arrested persons were allegedly from NSCN (IM).

It added that a Maruti vehicle used by the arrested persons was also seized and a case has been registered at Medziphema police station.

In another incident, the Crime Branch personnel apprehended one person namely Wisdom Yurnganing (34) from Thoyee village in Ukhrul district on January 7 in possession of crystal meth drugs weighing an approximate 990 gm from Naharbari Junction area. It stated that a case has been registered at East Police Station.
