Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): The district excise department of Dimapur destroyed a total number of 7440 bottles of assorted IMFL which was seized from December 2017 to Oct. 2018 which was worth an estimated amount of INR 11,77,000.
During the “liquor destruction event” which was held on Nov. 20 at the excise directorate Dimapur, was addressed by the commissioner of excise, Tarep Imchen who congratulated the unit of the superintendent of excise, Dimapur for the seizures effected and also exhorted the personnel and officers to give optimum performance while maintaining strict discipline in the line of duty. He further asked the personnel to maintain the prestige of the department at all costs amidst the ‘trying times’.
Dy. Commissioner Excise in his speech urged the workforce to maintain transparency and that due stressed should be given towards proper application of laws like the NLTP, NDPS and D&C Acts etc.
