Dimapur, May 7 (EMN): The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Dimapur District for the month of May was held in DC’s conference hall Dimapur on 5th May 2017. The meeting was chaired by Revenue Officer, Dimapur, B. Henok Buchem.
During the meeting the board recommended registration of society of The Art of Living Nagaland at Pudumpukhuri, Dimapur and opening of Shemrock Primary School 4th Mile, Diphupar, Dimapur and Greenland School, Lotovi Village, Dimapur basing on verification reports. The House also recommended on issue of No Objection Certificate for running of B.Ed. M.Ed. etc at Isaac Newton School, Dimapur.
Departmental programmes and activities were presented by Social Welfare Department under Dimapur district and Department of Geology & Mining.
The Revenue Officer, during the meeting expressed concern and need of deterrent measures over the encroachment of government land by different parties and not vacating Government quarters after retirement or when asked to by the employees. He also asked the gathering to be cautious while buying plots and also explain the importance of timely payment of yearly taxes.
