Dimapur, Aug. 4 (EMN): The Dimapur district Wushu Association’s first Wushu summer coaching camp closing programme was held on Sat. Aug. 4 at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Dimapur.
The 20 days Wushu summer coaching camp was held from July 16 till Aug. 4 at the GHSS where 25 participants' enrolled for the coaching with an eight year-old boy as the youngest participant. The participants' for the first summer coaching camp were boys but the sport is open for both boys and girls between the ages of 8-25 years, said the association president Neizo Khusoh.
The participants were presented certificates of participation by SAI STC Dimapur centre in charge Ch. Naba Singh who also encouraged the Wushu enthusiasts to continue with their passion and remarked that organising such camps for a sport should be taken up by other sports enthusiast as well.
The association president Khusoh informed that the regular classes for Wushu will commence on Mon. Aug. 6.
