Dimapur District Taekwondo Association secured 28 medals and 1st runners-up title at the 35th Nagaland State Championship in Longleng.

DIMAPUR — The Dimapur District Taekwondo Association (DDTA) participated in the recently concluded 35th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship-cum-Under-14 Catch Them Young Tournament, hosted by the Longleng District Taekwondo Association at Longleng.
A total of 40 players took part in the tournament under senior, junior, cadet, and sub-junior categories, both male and female, according to a press release.
The DDTA bagged 10 gold, 12 silver, and 6 bronze medals — a total of 28 medals. The team was led by Heoshe Yeptho (working president, DDTA), with two team managers, Nishi Roy (vice president, DDTA) and Sanjay Chetri (organising secretary, DDTA), and two team coaches, Subham Sharma and Navjyotee Das, along with six national and state referees.
The referees were Limatula Jamir, Amarjit Singh, Deepak Kr. Prasad, and Anirudra Pandey (all national referees); Bodrulsah Barbhuiya and Imtisangla Jamir (both state referees).
The Dimapur team also lifted the 1st runners-up title.

The DDTA thanked Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur and chairman of DDSC, along with DDSC officials, for the timely release of funds for participation in the championship.
The association also expressed gratitude to Kevithuto Sophie, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, for providing transportation to the Dimapur team, as well as to the parents of the players for their financial support.
