Dimapur on Thursday.
- DIMAPUR — Members
of Dimapur District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), during its monthly
meeting held at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office on
Thursday, discussed key development issues and safety at workplaces.
- The deputy commissioner (DC) of Dimapur and vice chairman of
DPDB, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, who presided over the meeting, urged the officers
to work collaboratively for the overall development of the district.
- Advocating safety at workplace safety, he directed all
departments to display posters on the implementation of Sexual Harassment at
Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act within office premises
to enhance awareness, a DIPR report state.
- Among others, the board deliberated on the change of
nomenclature of certain schools and registration of societies, which were
recommended to the state government for approval.
- The meeting also saw the introduction of two new members
namely B Yanrunthang Kikon, superintendent of jail, Dimapur, and Lhuvoyi,
executive engineer of Power, Dimapur.
- It was decided that the Public Health Engineering Department
(PHED) and One Stop Centre (Sakhi) would made powerpoint presentation in the
next meeting.
