East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association beat Indisen FC 3-2 as Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B) drew 1-1.
DIMAPUR — East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association defeated Indisen FC 3-2, while Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B) and Don Bosco Sports Academy played out a 1-1 draw in Match 12 and Match 11, respectively, of the Dimapur District Football League (DDFL)-cum-Late Hejeto Ayemi Trophy at DDSC Stadium on Monday.
In Match 11, Don Bosco Sports Academy took the lead against Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B) through Alo Magh in the 19th minute.
Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B) went into the interval trailing 0-1 before Temsemeren Imsong scored the equaliser in the 18th minute of the second half. Neither side found another goal as the match ended 1-1.
Ivito Assumi of Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B) received a yellow card in the 23rd minute of the first half, while Pangloi Konyak was booked in the 28th minute of the second half.
Don Bosco Sports Academy had 60% possession compared with Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B)'s 40%. Both teams registered eight shots, with Don Bosco Sports Academy recording six shots on target against four by Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B).
Don Bosco Sports Academy also had four corners compared with one for Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B). The teams committed six and five fouls, respectively. Temsemeren Imsong was named Man of the Match.
In Match 12, Indisen FC opened the scoring against East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association through Poulin in the 15th minute. Vizokhotuo Belho drew East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association level three minutes later.
Limasanen Tzudir restored Indisen FC's lead with a penalty in the 31st minute, before Kinoto Aye equalised for East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association in the 36th minute. The teams went into the interval level at 2-2.
East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association scored what proved to be the winning goal through substitute Nipuka Muru in the 31st minute of the second half. Muru had entered the match in place of Longmeth in the 20th minute.
Nokrenyuba of Indisen FC received a yellow card in the 16th minute of the second half, while Kinoto Aye was booked in the 39th minute.
Possession was evenly split at 50% each. East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association registered 12 shots compared with Indisen FC's nine, while Indisen FC had eight shots on target against seven by East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association.
East Dimapur Sumi Sports Association had six corners against Indisen FC's four and committed five fouls compared with Indisen FC's four. Kinoto Aye was named Man of the Match.
