Dimapur, May 17 (EMN): Dimapur District Congress Committee (DCC) has complaint against TK Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd, a firm undertaken construction of four lane road from Purana Bazaar to Chumoukedima, for not providing serviceable road for the public.
In a representation to the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, DCC working president, Kikhevi Yepthomi, alleged that the road construction currently being carried out from Purana Bazaar to Chumoukedima is not serviceable for the commuters with huge potholes with no safety measures for which the public are facing immense hardships while driving on the road.
DCC alleged that the contractor concerned has not taken any steps to prevent the dust thereby causing health problems to the people living in the surrounding areas same. It added that verbal complains to the person concerned at the site about the matter were not heeded to.
Kikhevi Yepthomi also reminded the DC that an application concerning the matter was submitted to his office on April 16.
He has requested the DC to intervene into the matter in the larger interest of the public by issuing notice to TK Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd, and give direction to maintain safety measures while carrying the construction works from Purana Bazaar to Chumoukedima.
He further stated that in the event of failure to comply with the direction, TK Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd would be held responsible for any untoward incident/accident.
