Dimapur, Sep. 23 (EMN): The district administration of Dimapur has ordered extension of the notice restricting all vehicular movement along the Chathe River Bridge or Patkai Bridge route to new Chumoukedima or Pakala Pahar Bridge, updates have reported.
The government publicity agency the department of Information and Public Relations (IPR) issued updates to the media informing about the notice.
The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Kevekha Zehol has informed that the order for total restriction of all vehicles from Chathe River Bridge to new Chumoukedima has been extended from 10:30 pm to 5:00 am from September 25 to October 24, the IPR reported.
According to the IPR, “all movement” will also be restricted from 3:00 to 3:30 pm and 4:30 to 5:00 pm to enable the use of explosives until October 5, the updates stated.
The administration mentioned that the alternative routes for Dimapur-Kohima for light vehicles is available via the 7th Mile-new DC office to Shokhuvi-Razaphe, to Mhaikam-Pimla, to Mhainamtsi-Jhornapani/Medziphema and vice versa.
‘The restriction has been imposed as a preventive measure to avoid loss of life, property and other injuries,’ the IPR added.
