A devastating fire at Burma Camp, Dimapur gutted homes, left 12 families homeless; authorities investigate cause, no casualties.

DIMAPUR — A massive fire broke out at Burma Camp in Dimapur on Friday at around 12.45 pm, rendering 12 families homeless.
According to personnel from the Central Fire Station, the distress call was received at 12.51 pm. Two fire tenders from the Central Fire Station and two from the West Fire Station were immediately dispatched, along with firefighting personnel.
The team reported that 15 rooms of an Assam-type kacha house were completely engulfed in flames. However, due to the timely intervention of the fire personnel, the blaze was brought under control within 30 minutes.

The cause of the fire and the estimated property loss are yet to be ascertained. No casualties were reported.
