Dimapur, Nov. 11 (EMN): Toka Multipurpose Cooperative Society (MPCS) Ltd., based in Dimapur, has been honoured with the National Entrepreneurship Award in the A3 category for organisations operating within INR 10 lakh to INR 1 crore in the ‘difficult area operation’.
An update from Toka MPCS informed that organisations that have impacted lives by way of social and entrepreneurial efforts at the grassroots level were honoured at the National Entrepreneurship Awards function that was held in New Delhi recently. It went on to claim that the organisation is also the first recipient of the award from the state.
Toka MPCS is a grassroots level organisation that provides services in finance, training, incubation, mobilisation, marketing, farming, construction and processing aimed at uplifting the economic status of marginalised farmers, women self help groups and entrepreneurs, according to the update.
Several dignitaries including Minister of State (I/C) Power, New and Renewable Energy Raj Kumar Singh and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mahendra Nath Pandey are said to have attended the event.
