God created humans in his own image without any partiality. But in Nagaland nepotism, favouritism, and discrimination are the order of the day and as a result the general public are suffering no less than slaves. The handful of rich and powerful people are not at all aware of the untold suffering and miseries faced by the general public. The poor public having no auto-fare choose to travel on foot at the horrible road condition risking their health and life: pregnant women melancholy juggling in the auto rickshaw risking her unborn baby and her life too. However, the so called rich and powerful wife and daughter who are recklessly playing in the air conditioned luxuries car is not at all concern about the inhuman condition of the general public. Often the students return home with splashes of mud and stain on their uniform due to muddy road condition and river like roads which is alien to those rich and powerful sons and daughters who are enjoying all the facilities in metro cities and abroad. More ironically, the poor students who completed their studies with borrowed amount are not getting the jobs as the authority often weighted money is heavier than degree. On the other hand theirs sons and daughters are eligible to get jobs on mere possession of certificates. It is to be noted seriously that certificates can be procured through various means but jobs require knowledge and integrity. Therefore in our states the principle of “right man in right job” is often trampled under the knee of injustice and ultimately the public are suffering to the core. People respect rich-men when their riches are through hard works. People honour the powerful when their powers are being exercise justly. But unfortunately, the handful of rich and powerful in our State neither examine as through which means they have accumulated such mammoth wealth nor realised whether they exercise the power for the welfare and up-liftment of the society. Very sad to say that our Naga’s have adopted the culture to worship the rich and powerful without distinguishing between the grain and chuff and without differentiating between legitimate and illegitimate. In our State the powerful and rich are totally immune from the Court’s order; CBI and RTI because everything can be shielded through money which indicates the level of corruption. Some public spirited leaders often expose the misdeeds and corruption of the Government by risking their lives but surprisingly there is no words of “Shame” in the dictionary of the powerful therefore every time everything turns out to be well and settled which is the sorry state of affairs. The act of exploitation, suppression, and oppression of the public will go down in our Naga history and the future generations will not forgive and forget the powerful and money mongers who exploit our State both length and breadth and hang the head of Christian State in shame. Today, the (powerful and rich) possess all forms of power both outside and inside and stand immunized from all cannons of justice. Therefore, whoever you are, the pastors, with all out sincerity and prayers urge you in the name of the Lord to fear God. Because however big and “invincible” you are considered of among men, you shall not escape the judgment of God. It is to be noted that “King Saul was afraid of David because God was with David”. The Dimapur Area Ao Baptist pastors encourage all the Naga leaders and public to stand steadfast to the TRUTH with integrity as true Christians at this testing period as soon the Almighty God will stretch out his hand and reveal the TRUTH.
