DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) condemned the alleged physical assault of a person who was reportedly manhandled by some traders while purchasing vegetables at Murgipatti in Dimapur on Thursday.
Stating that this act of aggression is not only unacceptable but also deeply disturbing, the DAYO said that this incident is “a grim reminder of the urgent need to reassert the rightful place of locals in their own homeland”.
Meanwhile, the organisation reminded all concerned that, being bound by the provisions of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) regulations, any violation—whether legal, economic, or behavioural—will not be tolerated.

It appealed to the law enforcement agencies and the district administration to ensure that such precedents are not set.
DAYO also urged all local communities and civil society organisations to raise their voices, stating that it is time to be vigilant, aware, and united.
