Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The toilets at Dimapur airport will get a major ‘upgrade’ and at a cost that seems to be considerable—1.3 cr. Portable toilet facilities shall be provided to passengers during the renovation, the airport’s director informed in a note that was issued to the media on Thursday.
The note read: ‘To provide a cleaner environment and enhance passenger facilities at Dimapur Airport, major upgrade of the toilets is taken up at the cost of Rs. 1.3 crore. The work will begin from 15th October 2018 starting with toilets in the arrival area, and security during the first phase and thereafter, the public concourse and new toilet in the check-in area.’
Arriving passenger are requested to use the toilet in “the concourse,” or the portable toilet placed at the ‘arrival gate.’
Departing passengers are requested to use the toilet of the concourse before proceeding for security check. ‘An alternate portable toilet is also being provided in the barricaded portion of gate no.1. We request the passengers to bear with us for some time to enable us to provide enhanced facility,’ the note added.
