Dimapur, April 20 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel has informed the public that some Aadhaar enrolment are being carried out in shops and local outlets that are not authorised by the state government.
The administration reminded that the Nagaland government had authorised Aadhaar enrolment to be carried out only at designated centres: DC office in Dimapur, ADC office of Niuland and Medziphema; SDO (c) offices of Dhansiripar, Kuhuboto and EAC office of Chumukedima, and at free of cost.
The administration informed that only correction and updating Aadhaar details may be carried out in those shops or outlets.
The DC has advised the public not to approach said outlets for Aadhaar enrolment as the establishment cannot guarantee successful generation of Aadhaar.
The deputy commissioner directed the individuals in concern running such shops and outlets to immediately stop providing Aadhaar enrolment services to the public. Failing to do so would invite the administration to take necessary punitive action against them.
