Dimapur, June 20 (EMN): Landowners and ‘beneficiaries affected’ by the new BC railway in Dimapur district are informed that compensation for the affected owners of land, building, and other items shall be paid in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner of Dimapur on June 25 for Piphema village, towards Kohima, from 10:00 AM. A notice from the district administration on Wednesday informed chairman and members of the village council in concern to be present in person for identification of landowners and beneficiaries during disbursal of cheques. Failing to do so would mean payment shall have to be withheld.
‘All the affected landowners and beneficiaries are hereby directed to come in person along with identity proof, bank passbook, passport photo (5 copies) etc. Payment to any other representative other than the concerned person shall not be entertained,’ the notice, appended by Deputy Commissioner, Sushil Kumar Patel, stated.
