Dimapur 24/7 provides relief to Naga Gaon fire victims
A team from Dimapur 24/7 on Sunday visited the fire-affected site at Naga Gaon, where a fire broke out on February 26, leaving 40 families homeless and affecting around 200 individuals.

- DIMAPUR — A team from Dimapur 24/7 on Sunday
visited the fire-affected site at Naga Gaon, where a fire broke out on February
26, leaving 40 families homeless and affecting around 200 individuals.
- According to a press release, as part of the relief efforts,
Dimapur 24/7 provided essential supplies, including five bags of rice (50 kg
each, totalling 250 kg), one bag of onions (50 kg), and one bag of potatoes (50
kg), to the affected families.
- These relief materials were deposited at the Naga Gaon
Council Hall and officially handed over to the gaonbura and the council
president in the presence of council members.
- Under the leadership of Annie Jain, the chairperson of
Dimapur 24/7, the team expressed solidarity and condolences to the affected
families. It has also been noted that churches, NGOs, and individual
contributors have stepped forward to assist those impacted by the fire.
However, it said, as of now, no relief has been provided by the administration.
- “Dimapur 24/7, through both its media and NGO wing, remains
committed to highlighting the needs of the affected families and urges further
assistance from relevant authorities and the broader community to support their
rehabilitation and recovery,” it read.
