A two-day training for government school teachers in Pungro Sub-Division focused on NEP 2020 and innovative teaching practices.

KIPHIRE — A two-day training on innovative practices in education for primary and secondary teachers was conducted at EBRC Hall, Pungro, for teachers under Pungro Sub-Division, Kiphire district, on July 30 and 31 by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Zunheboto.
The highlights of the training included an introduction to and changes in National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, innovative teaching practices in Environmental Studies/Social Sciences, the meaning and importance of ECCE, constructivism and teaching skills, and innovative teaching practices and ECCE (hands-on activities using teaching learning materials).
The resource persons for the training were Satheesh, senior lecturer; Dr. G Kheghoto, lecturer; Moanaro, lecturer; and Vizobonu, lecturer. Forty-one teachers from 35 government schools under Pungro Sub-Division attended the training.
