DIMAPUR — The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Tuensang, in collaboration with Fire and Emergency Services, Tuensang, conducted a training programme on fire safety and measures on September 18.
According to a DIPR report, the programme, coordinated by the Environmental Studies/Social Science Cell of DIET Tuensang, was attended by teaching faculty and second-year student teachers of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
Hayang Chang, assistant sub-inspector, briefed the participants on the types and uses of fire extinguishers. Imti Chingmak, assistant sub-inspector, spoke on the handling of LPG cylinders and preventive measures.
The training also included a practical demonstration by personnel of Fire and Emergency Services.
