The much-anticipated 26th annual DICE Awards was held on February 23. Hosted by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS), the awards recognised the best games released in the past year, including God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West among others.
However, it was FromSoftware's Elden Ring that took home the coveted "Game of the Year for 2022" title.
Apart from the Game of the Year title, Elden took home four more awards, including Outstanding Design, Technical Achievement, Game Direction and the Role-Playing Game of the Year.
The highly praised PlayStation exclusive, God of War Ragnarok, came out on top with six awards out of 12 nominations, including Best Adventure Game, Art Direction, Animation, Character, Story, Audio Design and Original Music.
