Dimapur, April 19 (EMN): The District Health Society (DHS) conducted health camp at Yipang village in Wokha on April 17. The district’s tobacco control cell also participated in the camp conducting programme for the participants.
According to update on Thursday, the district’s nodal officer Dr. Meribeni Odyuo spoke about the ill effects of tobacco. She educated participants about oral health and hygiene. The discourse was substantiated by visual representations illustrating the information.
Another resource person, Abeni R Kikon, gave a discourse about the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act of 2003. She urged the village’s authority to strive to make their village tobacco-free.
