Dimapur, May 13 (EMN): Dhamma Vihar under Society of Dhamma Bodhi & Meditation Centre celebrated the 2561st Buddha Jayanti on May 10 at Kevija-u Colony, Dimapur.
The day-long festival was marked by Prabhat Ferry, prayers and puja, flag hosting, fruits distribution to patients at District Civil Hospital, Dhamma Sabha (religious congregation) and cultural programme. The religious congregation was graced by Joshep Lemtur, president of Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum as the chief guest along with Harishankar Agarwal Singhania, president of Agarwal Vikash Trust NE India, and Mahesh Kotach, treasure BJP Nagaland as guests of honour.
The festival concluded with cultural function, where cultural secretary Kamal Acharjee and joint secretary Minal Barua and several artistes of Dimapur took part.
