DGAR (N) affirms commitment to youth empowerment and education

- DIMAPUR — The
Director General of Assam Rifles-North (DGAR-N), Lt. Gen. Vikas Lakhera,
visited Chieswema and interacted with students of National Integrity and
Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO), a non-governmental organisation
that offers free coaching and mentoring to students in Nagaland and other parts
of India, wherein he reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ commitment to youth empowerment
and education.
- A defence release stated that the event featured an
enriching interaction where DGAR motivated the students, emphasising
self-discipline, perseverance and the importance of continuously validating
oneself. He also encouraged them to identify and strengthen their weak areas in
preparation of their exams while also making the best out of their unique
journeys and ultimately progressing towards success.
- It added that a small cultural programme by the students
showcased the rich heritage of the Naga community, highlighting the immense
talent Nagaland possesses across various fields including sports and academics.
- DGAR, recalling his long-standing association with NIEDO
students, inspired them to overcome stress and channel it positively for
success.
- The visit concluded with a group photograph and best wishes
by the DG to students, symbolising Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to
fostering aspirations and nurturing future torchbearers of the nation.
