Dimapur, Oct. 20: A battle between equal strengths made Ekhyo FC and FC Alianza settle for a 1-1 draw after a pulsating match during the ongoing Dimapur Football League (DFL) season 1 at the Dimapur District Sports Complex (DDSC) stadium, in Dimapur on Sat. Oct. 20.
The entire players were forced to battle the searing heat of the sun as well as their adversaries. None showed any sign of weaknesses, instead every one of them was charging up to deliver their own tricks of trade to win the game.
After more than 30 minutes of tussle between Ekhyo FC and FC Alianza in the first match, it was Vichou Beitou of Ekhyo FC who scored the first goal of the day in the 36th minute of the first half which was later equalised by Along of FC Alianza in the 43th minute of the second half.
Even after a hard fought draw earned during the day, it still kept both the teams crestfallen as they were not able to add more balls inside the goal line.
The man of the match for the first game was awarded to Homika of FC Alianza.
In the second match, United V and S defeated Titan SCC with a full time score of 1-0. The lone goal for United V and S was scored through a long shot from the left mid field by Latminlal in the 8th minute.
