Deputy CM Y Patton condemned online threats to Rosemary Dzüvichü and urged curbing hatred on social media.

DIMAPUR — Deputy Chief Minister (Home and Border Affairs) Y Patton has condemned the threat to the life of Rosemary Dzüvichü made by an individual on Facebook.
In a statement, Patton said that the Police department swung into action and arrested the alleged individual in Dimapur. He appreciated the Cyber Crime Branch of PHQ for working in close coordination with the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, for their timely action.
He also directed the department to conduct a thorough investigation, deliver justice to the aggrieved, and ensure stringent punishment for the perpetrator.

“So much hatred and negativity is spread through social media these days and needs to be curbed. I, therefore, call upon everyone to condemn such abominable act which brings shame upon the society,” Patton said.
Meanwhile, referring to another case on September 24 in Kohima, Patton said that Zuchibemo Tungoe of the police department was found shot dead under mysterious circumstances.
He directed Kohima Police to speed up the investigation to ascertain the details leading to the cause of his death.
