Department of Fisheries distribution programme of floating fish feeds at Jalukie town.[/caption]
Dimapur, March 17 (EMN): Under the initiative of Director of Fisheries, Kevisa Kense, the Department of Fisheries held a distribution programme of floating fish feeds from grassroots level to progressive fish farmers under Blue Revolution (NEEL KARANTI during the year 2016 -17 at Jalukie town, Peren district on 17th March 2017.During the program, SDFO Jalukie (Peren) highlighted on how to use the floating fish feeds. She also informed the fish farmers about the various benefits of floating fish feeds which includes healthy growth of fish and improves digestion in addition to reducing water pollution, optimizing water usage and improving the pond’s overall ecosystem. She also thanked the Director for introducing such scientifically improves products to the local fish farmer’s community for better farming and to boost the fish culture in Nagaland. All together 40 fish farmers benefitted from the programme.
