Dimapur, June 2 (EMN): To do away with the menace of irregular/backdoor or illegal appointments, department of Personnel and Administrative Reform (P&AR) has directed all the departments to identify all appointments made from 2014 till March 2018 and submit the same by June 15.
The department has issued this notification on having noticed that many departments are still making irregular/backdoor appointments and even some cases of appointment without sanctioned posts despite timely notification to follow procedure for filling Grade-III (non-gazetted) posts.
It also stated that the extant rules of recruitment with regard to qualification, age, reservation of backward tribes and physically challenged were not followed.
The department has issued instructions to review the policy made in Grade-III (Non-Gazetted) appointments.
It has instructed all departments to make a list of all appointments made from 2014 till March 2018 and confirm if the appointments have been made against a sanctioned post.
For appointments made against sanctioned posts, it has asked to verify if the procedures as per service rules and other relevant rules have been followed for recruitment to the post.
For appointment against sanctioned posts, it also asked to verify if those appointed had genuine documents for educational qualification and age.
In this regards, all the departments are directed to identify all appointments made as stated above and submit the report to the department by June 15.
