Officials of Health department along with the outgoing
officers during farewell programme in Kohima on May 1.
DIMAPUR — The
department of Health and Family Welfare bade farewell to its outgoing officers
namely Dr. Meribeni Odyuo, director of dental; Dr. Khansao Alex, additional
director of dental; Kepelhoutsei-ii Suohu, joint director of nursing; Krononu
Kraho, deputy director of nursing; and Tsukjenmongla, deputy director of
nursing; during a programme at the IDSP Hall of its directorate on May 1.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Sendimeren Aonok, director
of H and ME, while an invocation prayer was said by Thinuohelie Sachu, research
officer, followed by citation and speech by Dr. Mereninla Senlem, director of
HOD.
In her farewell speech, Dr. Mereninla appreciated the
outgoing officers for their services rendered to the department and wished them
a happy retired life.
A DIPR report stated that the outgoing officers have
delivered speeches of encouragement and reminisced their day in the department
with profound memories.
The programme concluded with a benediction said by Dr.
Reyosalu Vizo, deputy director of dental.
In another programme, the Agriculture department bade
farewell to its outgoing director, S Yongchang Phom, which was attended by
officers and staff from directorate, districts and sub-divisions.
Speaking at the programme, Limanenla, joint secretary of
Agriculture, and Bodevi Shuya, district agriculture officer of Chümoukedima,
heaped praises on the outgoing director for his exemplary service, humility and
unwavering commitment to the agricultural community.
In his farewell address, Yongchang expressed gratitude to
all officers and staff for their unwavering support throughout his career. He
encouraged everyone to continue working together with innovative approaches for
the benefit of farmers and promotion of sustainable agriculture.
Meanwhile, the Zunheboto district also bade farewell to its
outgoing deputy commissioner, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, during a programme held on
Friday at Multi Purpose Hall in Zunheboto town.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahul has acknowledged the
officers and staff for peaceful conduct of three elections in the district
namely the state general elections in 2023, Lok Sabha election in 2024 and the
urban local bodies elections in 2024.
He also commended the dedication and hard work of the people
of Zunheboto.
Several individuals including superintendent of police, Kupe
Kapfo; PA to DC, Vikheho Yeptho; district planning officer, David Sema;
additional deputy commissioner of Satakha, MS Thangpong; and additional deputy
commissioner (HQ), Japhet Woch, spoke during the programme.
Speeches on behalf of Sumi Hoho and ZAPO were delivered by
Kikheto Muru and Hekato Zhimo.
