Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Kohima and Peren District Education Officers (DEOs) informed all head of institutions (both government and private) to collect the Teachers’ Day tokens and car flags from their respective offices during office hour.
DEO Kohima, Y Mary Zhimomi, stated that tokens should be sold at INR 5 per students and car flags at INR 20. The sale of car flags should be restricted within the school jurisdiction only after August 26. She also directed all concerned schools to submit the fund from collection of Teachers’ Day tokens/ car flags on or before September 10 for onward submission to the higher authority.
She further directed all schools under DEO Kohima to compulsorily collect according to the enrolment of students and staff for their schools.
In a separate statement, DEO Peren Ramdi Thou informed all the higher secondary schools and high schools of both government and private to come and collect the tokens as per their requirements from its office from August 19-26.
