Dimapur, July 28 (EMN): District Education Officer (DEO), Kohima, Neizetuonuo has informed all concerned heads of both government and private educational institutions under the DEO Kohima to forward cases of eligible and deserving teachers fulfilling the under mentioned criteria.
For State Award 2017, the teacher should be a recipient of District Award for Teachers. The selection process shall be based purely on merit and not on the length of his/her service as teacher on any other consideration. Incomplete information and documents shall be summarily rejected.
For financial assistance from the National Foundation for Teachers Welfare: Permanent disability of the teacher; prolonged treatment for his/her own ailment or ailment of wife/children/husband/dependent parents; untimely death of the incumbent; natural calamity of devastating nature for which grant /relief was received from any other sources.
In this regard, DEO informed that the format of recommendation can be obtained from the DEO office with immediate effect during office hour and the same duly filled along with 4 recent passport size photographs to be submitted latest by August 4.
