Dimapur, May 15 (EMN): The Indian Dental Association, Nagaland State Branch (IDA, NSB), in collaboration with world leading implant manufacturer, Nobel Biocare from the United States, has been successfully completed the implant clinical course in Kohima.
A press release issued by Dr. Vichovol Temi, IDA-NSB honorary secretary, stated that Nobel Biocare is the world leader in innovative restoration and aesthetic dental solutions, which also provides highly professional training and education across the globe. The course was conducted from December 2017 to May 2018.
For the second implant prosthesis module, lectures were held at Hotel Vivor from May 5 to 7, while the clinical session was conducted at Advanced Dental Aesthetic & Implant Clinic, Kohima, which was supported by Rohini Dental Lab. from outside the state. It added that on all the nine implants placed patients, Osseointegration were successful conducted.
Dr. Kanir Bhatia, renowned oral implantologist and cosmetic dentist from Mumbai, was the mentor of the course. He stated that the participants got an opportunity to do advanced surgical procedure like immediate dental implant placement, guided bone regeneration (GBR) procedure using the latest tissue regeneration techniques.
Dr. Pfukrolo Koza, periodontist and oral implantologist and the course coordinator, stated that northeast dentists would be able to provide the latest advanced dental rehabilitation to their patients.
Eight participants were awarded and certified as oral implantologist by the mentor on completion of the course.
