Dental camp held at Nagaland Police Training School

- DIMAPUR — The
National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Dimapur, under the Health department
conducted a seminar on importance of oral health and ill effects of
tobacco-cum-dental health camp at Nagaland Police Training School in
Chümoukedima on February 22.
- A DIPR report stated that the oral and dental health camp
was conducted for all rank and files of Nagaland Police Training School,
Chümoukedima, by the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP) and National Tobacco
Control Programme (NTCP), Dimapur.
- In her welcome speech, the principal of Nagaland Police
Training School extended gratitude to the programme officer and team for
conducting such an important seminar and also requested all the personnel and
family members to not miss the opportunity provided by the health officials.
- Dr. N Moa Jamir, district nodal officer of NOHP and NTCP,
made a powerpoint presentation on “The importance of oral health and ill
effects of tobacco consumption,” followed by an interactive session.
- It stated that oral cancer screening, consultation and tooth
extraction were carried out during the camp. Besides, medicines were also
provided to the patients without any charge.
- Dr. Japheth Yepthomi, Dr. Imtiyala, Dr. Kanovi Yephomi from
District Hospital Dimapur and Medongunuo, social worker at NTCP, participated
during the camp.
