Imphal, November 22: To facilitate easy cash withdrawals for media persons, the State Bank of India (SBI) Regional Business Office at Imphal is in collaboration with the Editor’s Guild and Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) to enable a withdrawal of Rs 1000 of Rs 100 notes denomination from the POS (point of sale) machine at the DIPR press room at Moirangkhom complex in Imphal.
Since the day prime minister of India Narendra Modi announced his government’s decision to discontinue the old Rs.500 and Rs 1000 notes, people continue to throng banks as they wait for their turn either to exchange or deposit the old currencies.
POS are machines used for credit or debit card transactions.
