Raising the political heat ahead of Delhi Assembly Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday targeted Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal.
Addressing a press conference, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Ruddy announced that his party will corner AAP on various issues in the coming days.He further accused Kejriwal of repeatedly going back on his promises and asked him five questions, which are as follows:
Why did Kejriwal accept Z+ security during his 49-day stint as Delhi chief minister?
Why didn't the AAP chief fulfil his promise of ordering probe against Sheila Dikshit during his tenure as CM?
Why did the AAP chief change his stance and take support of Congress to form government in Delhi?
On the day of oath-taking ceremony, Kejriwal travelled in a metro train, then why is he using SUVs these days?
Why did Kejriwal used a private jet for travelling, when he himself was opposed to it?
AAP leader Yogendra Yadav, meanwhile, asked the BJP to frame a new set of questions for Kejriwal. He also accused the BJP of panicking before Delhi polls.
Not amused by the questioning, Aam Aadmi Party leaders said it reflected the panic that had set in the party.
"Just want to tell BJP, they can ask us 50, not five questions, but at least they should come up with new set of questions. The same questions have been repeatedly asked and been answered. It clearly shows that panic has set in the BJP," said senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav.
Earlier today, the BJP announced that it will eschew a manifesto for the forthcoming Delhi polls and will instead come up with a 'vision document'.
Delhi goes to polls on February 7, with counting of votes set to take place on February 10.
