
KOHIMA: A delegation from Tripura Assembly Secretariat, comprising Speaker Biswas Bandhu Sen, Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Paul, chief whip Kalyani Saha Roy and other officials, is in Nagaland to study the implementation of National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) programme in the state.
It may be mentioned that Nagaland Legislative Assembly became the first in the country to implement the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) programme by going completely paperless during the budget session in 2022.
Officials informed Eastern Mirror that the delegates from Tripura, who were on a three-day study tour, were impressed by NeVA implementation in the state.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]According to National Informatics Centre, NeVA is a work-flow system deployed on NIC Cloud, MeghRaj which helps the Chair of the House to conduct the proceedings of the House smoothly, Hon’ble Members to carry out their duties in the House efficiently and to conduct Legislative Business of the House in a paperless manner.
It stated that NeVA is a device neutral and member-centric application created to equip them to handle diverse House Business smartly by putting entire information regarding member contact details, rules of procedure, list of business, notices, bulletins, bills, starred/unstarred questions and answers, papers laid, committee reports etc. in their hand held devices/ tablets and equip all Legislatures/ Departments to handle it efficiently. NeVA will completely eliminate the process of sending out a notice/request for collection of data.
