KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 16 : The Kohima bench of the Gauhati High Court on Friday reserved order on the case regarding the educational qualification of the chief minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang.
The order was reserved following the counsels of both the complainant and the respondent filing written arguments before the court.
It may be mentioned that Justice MR Pathak, after hearing arguments from both the counsels on September 14, had asked them to submit their arguments written. The case was adjourned for the day on September 14 without any ruling from the court as the argument was prolonged to late evening.
Following the case being dismissed by the judicial magistrate (first class) of Peren on July 29, the complainant, through their counsel KN Balgopal, senior advocate of the Supreme Court, had filed a criminal revision petition with the Kohima bench of the Gauhati High Court on August 18, challenging the decision of said magistrate.
The respondent was represented by advocate A Zhimomi as the counsel.
