NSCN/GPRN-Reformation President Y. Wangtin today acknowledged the leadership of Isak Chisi Swu, Th. Muivah, S.S. Khaplang and Gen.(Retd) Khole who defended the Naga nation which was surrendered before Indian government by some NNC workers after the signing of Shillong Accord in 1975.
Wangtin in his 36th Naga Republic Day speech appealed to all Naga freedom fighters to love one another as all are for single cause.
Defecting from one faction to another faction at this juncture will not help the Nagas as such practices will only create enmity and antagonism among different NPGs, he said adding, Naga people must try to know to live together as one people although they work under different NPGs.
The speech issued by MIP, NSCN/GPRN-Reformation said, “Naga country is a free Nation although it was invaded by Indian Government and continue her forcible occupation for almost 6 decades by violating human rights and universal laws. No history or any record and even the Indian Government can lie that Naga country was part of India as it was a free nation even before India became a free Nation. In other words, at no point of time Naga people surrendered their sovereign rights before any nation including India and Myanmar.”
“I also salute our great leaders under whom the first memorandum was submitted to Simon Commission in 1929 stating that, Naga people with their Nation be left alone, further stated that, it would not be part of Indian Union which was followed by 9th points agreement of 1946, declaration of Naga Independence on 14th Aug. 1947 and Plebiscite of 1951. It was under our firm leaders, the Naga people and their Nation with stand thus far.”

“That, the dark days clouded the entire Naga country after the signing of Shillong Accord in 1975 where sovereign rights of the Nagas was surrendered before Indian Government by some NNC workers expediting the formation of National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) under the leadership of Mr. Isak Chisi Swu, Mr. Th. Muivah, Mr. S.S. Khaplang and Gen.(Retd) Khole who firmly defended the Naga nation through historic republic day on 21st March 1980. Thus, Naga nationhood was restored, for which I am saluting them.”
“The NSCN/GPRN-Reformation is only one year old, yet no criteria was lacked to be Naga Revolutionary Government as young and committed leaders are ready to sacrifice and firmly stand for the Naga nation under any circumstances against all odds and forces what so ever.”
