Kohima, March 12 (EMN): The Nagaland government has decided to deduct one day salary of all government employees (voluntarily) as contribution towards the chief secretary’s welfare fund.
In a notification dated Kohima March 12, 2018, additional deputy commissioner, C Khanyang Imlong has requested all the deputy commissioner of all districts, ADCs, SDOs (C) and Border Magistrate Tsürangkong to deduct one day salary of all regular government employees under their establishments from the salary of March 2018 payable in April 2018 and submitted the same to the commissioner’s office for onward submission.
It further stated that the deduction is voluntary and any employee not willing to contribute should inform accordingly in writing. In the absence of any written objection, Imlong said it will be presumed that all employees are willing to contribute.
